Bicep Curl Lunge with Bowling Motion
How to do the bicep curl lunge with bowling motion
- Hold a Medicine Ball in one hand with your palms facing up at shoulder height.
- Bring one foot back and into a lunge, keeping your front foot stationary and not letting your back knee touch the ground.
- While lunging, bring the ball down and back as if you were bowling.
- Bring your arm back up to the starting position, switch legs and repeat.
- Note: Use slow and steady movements with this exercies.
Muscles worked
The prime mover is the biceps brachii, which bends the elbow and rotates the forearm palm-up.
Other muscle groups are involved too: the calves control the ankle and hold the heel position; the triceps straighten the elbow to finish the movement; the hamstrings assist hip extension and slow the knee down.
The glutes and quadriceps take a share of the work as well.
