Frequently asked questions
How does color blindness simulation work?
The simulator applies scientifically validated 3x3 color transformation matrices to each pixel. These matrices remap RGB values to approximate how someone with a specific color vision deficiency perceives colors.
What types of color blindness can this tool simulate?
This tool simulates 7 types: Protanopia (red-blind), Deuteranopia (green-blind), Tritanopia (blue-blind), Achromatopsia (total color blindness), Protanomaly (red-weak), Deuteranomaly (green-weak), and Tritanomaly (blue-weak).
Can I test my website design for color blindness accessibility?
Yes. Take a screenshot of your design and upload it. The simulator shows how it appears under each type of color blindness, helping you ensure your UI does not rely solely on color to convey information.
Does this tool upload my images to a server?
No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using HTML Canvas. Your images never leave your device.
