When you need it
Since 1 cP = 1 mPa·s exactly, the cP→Pa·s conversion is just a factor of 1,000. The US unit lbf·s/ft² is much larger (47.88 Pa·s) and shows up in older hydraulics texts. Kinematic viscosity (viscosity ÷ density) has its own units — see the Kinematic Viscosity Converter.
