Frequently asked questions
How do I convert centipoise to pascal-second?
1 centipoise = 0.001 pascal-second. Choose "Centipoise (cP)" as From and "Pascal-second (Pa·s)" as To, type a value, and the result updates instantly.
Why is centipoise so common?
Water at 20 °C has a viscosity of almost exactly 1 cP (1.002 mPa·s), which makes cP an intuitive scale: olive oil ≈ 80 cP, honey ≈ 10,000 cP.
Is mPa·s the same as cP?
Yes, exactly: 1 cP = 1 mPa·s = 0.001 Pa·s. Datasheets use them interchangeably; SI style prefers mPa·s.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. Conversions run entirely in your browser using fixed factors — nothing is uploaded or logged.
