Bandwidth conversion factors
Every unit converts through the bit per second (the base unit). To convert A → B, multiply by A's factor and divide by B's:

When you need it
Rules of thumb: divide Mbps by 8 for MB/s; a 1 Gbps link tops out at 125 MB/s (119.2 MiB/s); a 50 GB game at 500 Mbps takes about 13 minutes. Real throughput lands 5–10% lower after protocol overhead.
