How to calculate weighted course grades

Enter assignment scores and weights — see your overall course percentage.

How it works

  1. Add assignments — name, score, and weight percent.
  2. Weights — should total 100% (tool warns if not).
  3. Course grade — weighted percentage displayed.

Weighted vs simple average

Weighted average = Σ(score × weight) ÷ Σ(weight). A low-weight assignment barely moves the needle; finals dominate.
