How to convert any file format in your browser

One tool for images, audio, video, and documents — powered by WebAssembly in your browser.

Need to convert a HEIC photo to PNG, extract MP3 from a video, or turn DOCX into Markdown? The File Converter handles 180+ image formats, audio, video, and documents — all in your browser, with no server upload.

Try it — drop any supported file

What you can convert

  • Images — 180+ formats via ImageMagick WASM (PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, TIFF, ICO, RAW, and more)
  • Audio — MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, AAC, Opus, ALAC, and more via FFmpeg WASM
  • Video — MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, AVI, GIF, and cross-category audio extraction
  • Documents — DOCX, EPUB, HTML, Markdown, ODT, RTF, CSV, JSON via Pandoc WASM

How it works

  1. Upload — drop any supported file; the tool detects its category automatically.
  2. Pick output — choose from grouped formats (images, audio, video, documents).
  3. Convert & download — the right WASM engine loads on first use, converts locally, and lets you preview or download.

Browser-based video conversion

Video conversion runs entirely in your browser via FFmpeg WebAssembly — no files are uploaded to a server. Large videos are limited by available device memory, but typical clips convert without issue.
