Business days count Monday to Friday only. Public holidays are not deducted — they differ by country, state, and company, so subtract the ones on your own calendar. Hours and minutes assume 24-hour days; the day count itself is measured at UTC midnight, so a daylight saving change never shifts it by one.

How to use

Frequently asked questions

How many days are there between two dates?

Enter both dates and the total appears immediately. The count is the number of calendar days you cross going from the first date to the second, so 1 March to 8 March is 7 days.

Should I include the end date in the count?

Include it when you are counting days you occupy: hotel nights billed per day, vacation days, a rental period. Leave it out when you are measuring elapsed time between two moments.

Does the business days number skip public holidays?

No. It removes Saturdays and Sundays only. Public holidays vary by country and region, so subtract them yourself for the calendars you care about.

Does daylight saving time change the number of days?

Not here. Both dates are compared at UTC midnight, so a 23-hour or 25-hour day caused by a clock change cannot push the result off by one — a common bug in timestamp subtraction.
